Number of generations of breeders' seeds

The number of generations of a breeder's seeds is one generation. Breeding seeds: refers to the first seeds of varieties or parents with stable genetic traits bred by breeders. According to the detailed rules for the implementation of crop seeds in People's Republic of China (PRC) seed management regulations, seeds are divided into improved varieties, original varieties and improved varieties. Original seed: refers to the seeds propagated by breeders or produced according to the technical regulations of original seed production, which meet the quality standards of original seed from the first generation to the third generation. Improved seed: refers to the seeds that have reached the quality standard of improved seeds from the first generation to the third generation propagated by conventional seeds and hybrids.
