Tell me about your first promotion experience. Under what circumstances did you get the promotion opportunity?

The first promotion was in the second year of work.

I was in the South China branch of a Fortune 500 Japanese company in China. At that time, everyone was promoted by fair competition, and the position was: management trainee. Can be detailed, I remember there are four rounds:

The first round: written test. Corporate culture and comprehensive ability. First choose a batch through the written test results.

The second round: practical operation. Classify each post according to its responsibilities, and then carry out the actual operation. Screen another batch.

The third round: interview. It was a face. Four interviewers interview four or five people at a time. First of all, HR introduced himself to understand the situation. Then there is the question of general ability, and everyone answers the same; Then other interviewers ask you a question separately. I remember I was very nervous at that time. For a teenager who just graduated for a year or two, I had never seen such a scene, especially a Japanese boss who had a beautiful translator, haha. I forgot all the previous preparations, so I improvised. I remember a lot of people were screened out this round.

The fourth round: recommended by the store owner, I have to say that a large part of this appreciation opportunity was given by my store owner at that time. It seems that at that time, there were hundreds of people applying for Guan Peisheng in our branch. At the end of the screening, there were almost ten, only four places, and our boss gave me one.

After the promotion, it is the most interesting thing. I have to say that the company has taken great pains in talent training. I remember that all of them added up to 200 people and concentrated on a military base for half a month of closed training. Physical fitness, skills, comprehensiveness, just like school classes, and militarized management have impressed me so far. Finally, write a letter to someone you think is important, and the company will send it uniformly. Mine is still in the drawer, which is particularly meaningful.

In retrospect, this was probably the most meaningful promotion in my career, which really helped me a lot. Looking back now, I can still remember the nervousness of everyone endorsing together and waiting for the interview outside. Especially positive energy.
