How to pass the SEO recruitment interview easily

Here are 8 tips to help you get through the interview with ease:

1. Know where you are going for the interview in advance.

Don’t wait until the day of the interview to find out where the interview will take place and the company’s contact number. You can confirm the interview location a few days in advance through the company's official website.

2. Download the driving directions.

You can also use your smartphone or GPS to find possible driving routes and estimate driving times. I love using Google Maps because I can zoom in on the map display and see what the actual buildings look like. Of course, the worst-case scenario is to drive there on the weekend so you can determine the best driving route before the interview.

3. Know the HR’s name accurately.

Remember to print out the recruitment notice. Because what surprises me every time is that many people show up at the interview but don’t know who their HR person is, and some don’t even know the position they are interviewing for.

4. Plan a time for the interview.

By planning your time, you can avoid rushing from one interview to the next or another appointment. If the conversation goes well, the interview may extend beyond the scheduled time. If you are told that the interview time will be extended, you can and must tell the other people you have scheduled your situation with.

5. Check the instrument in the mirror.

Before you leave the house, check yourself in the mirror from head to toe. Then, before you get out of the car and walk into the company building, check in the mirror again to see if your hair style is suitable and if there are any foreign objects between your teeth.

6. Bring a mint.

Snap on a mint before you get out of the car, but finish it before the interview. Never chew gum during an interview.

7. Turn off your cell phone.

Yes, you read that right, I said turn off the phone, not put the phone into vibrate mode. Because almost anyone can hear a cell phone vibrating in a purse or pocket. Your attention should be on HR, not your phone.

8. Use the restroom to decompress before the interview.

Stop in the bathroom before leaving home, but don’t drink too much coffee or other drinks before the interview. If you need to use the restroom when you arrive at work, ask the receptionist and quickly relieve your tension in the restroom before she notifies HR of your arrival.
