Some thoughts on post recruitment

Recently started interviewing candidates. Last time, I said that I would quickly test and screen candidates with the model given by my seniors, and contact the shortlisted candidates to enter the interview after narrowing the interview scope. I have arranged an interview these two days, and then I will probably summarize the interview process and feelings.

The previous * * * received 13 resumes, roughly screened the resumes, excluded some inappropriate "emotional complaints" and left seven resumes. I contacted seven candidates to enter the personality test, screened out three candidates, and the remaining four entered the first round of interviews. In order to arrange the time conveniently, contact the applicant four days in advance and prepare to come to our company for an interview.

On the day of the interview, we prepared paper and pens, and the conference room was ready. This afternoon, two fresh graduates and an experienced person came for an interview. Don't guess who arrived early, it's two freshmen. Coming from Mianyang in advance, in order to ensure the interview on time, the two came to the interview without even eating lunch. This moved me a little.

Interviews keep coming in, and the rest are waiting outside. The first interview was with a practical young man, who spoke directly and had good skills. Although he sometimes doesn't understand the question during the interview, he will confirm with me whether he understands my question correctly before answering. This is what I value more.

The second candidate who came in was more tactful. Before speaking, he seems to be testing what I want him to give, and then he will answer, so I don't know if it is his actual situation. Some places still think that what he said in front of Yuan made people doubt him. This post is a technical post, although there will be times to communicate with people, but it must be based on the actual situation, and you can't flatter yourself or be smart. Among them, he said a sentence that I still remember. He said, how much does it cost? This attitude towards life can't be wrong, but, more or less, it will make the employer feel that this person is disloyal and too coping.

The third one is a bad impression. I have high expectations after reading my resume. One is because I have one year's working experience, and the other is because I have relevant project experience. Judging from my resume alone, I have the highest expectation for this person. As a result, when we interviewed the top two, this one was not present or late.

My department head and I will go first. When he comes, contact us and go back to the conference room to interview him. I asked him why he was late as soon as I came. He told me some facts, for example, the company was too far away to call a taxi in time, for example, I didn't see Xiao Huang's bus was late, and so on. I asked him, we contacted you in advance to prepare for the interview. Did you not plan the route or leave some time to avoid being late? He also told me that he thought nothing would happen. At this point in the interview, I don't think it's necessary to say anything, but out of respect for everyone, I continued to ask a few questions, but none of them can give him extra points. First of all, he works in a state-owned enterprise, and the supernumerary staff went in under the recommendation of his family. After working for nearly a year, I felt that life was too dull, so I resigned first and then came to look for a job. There is also learning design, but it only takes two weeks (usually 2-3 months to get home), so I think that's it, give up learning. There is an offer at present, but I want to continue to see opportunities.

To sum up, this person's personal design is low-minded and has no goal. Such people are also very simple, but they lack the vitality and passion they deserve and are lazy. I don't know if I can impress him, but it's impossible to change him. Only give up.

I still insist on putting quality before quantity when choosing job candidates. Even though we are short of manpower at present, we can still do it. If you find someone who doesn't meet the requirements because you are in a hurry, it may cause team problems and may not be worth the loss. Therefore, when interviewing, let the interviewer see your best state, without whitewashing, but be polite and stately. There is another candidate in the interview. I hope the result is satisfactory.
