On April 1 1 day, 2023, Shandong released the preliminary work requirements for the demonstration project of comprehensive utilization of nuclear energy (cogeneration) of Haiyang nuclear power project in 2023. It is pointed out in the document that before the commercial operation of Unit 4 of Haiyang Nuclear Power Project, the goal of putting Unit 2 into operation in 2023 is to ensure two units and strive for three units. Haiyang Nuclear Power Project is the first nuclear power, cogeneration and grid-connected power generation project in China, and the only national major energy project in China. Therefore, Shandong agreed to build Haixing nuclear power.
