Scale of Guangzhou Marine Geological Survey

Existing staff 1 12 1 person, including 5 1 1 person, of which 1 person was elected as an academician of China Academy of Engineering, and 4 people successively won the Li Siguang Geological Science Award, and they are professional technicians with senior titles1/. It has three marine geological and geophysical survey vessels, 1 drilling and geophysical exploration vessel and two transport vessels, and is equipped with several sets of marine geological survey equipment with high technical level, which can basically meet the requirements of different fields and different operations such as ocean, offshore, oil and gas, marine geology and marine engineering, and the overall level of technical equipment has reached the international advanced level in the mid-1990s. Fixed assets reached 270 million yuan. Guangzhou Marine Geological Survey actively carries out scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation at home and abroad, and has successively carried out fruitful cooperation with foreign institutions and international organizations such as lamont Dougherty Geological Observatory of Columbia University, School of Geology of A&M University of Texas, United Nations Development Programme and Technical Cooperation Department, Interoceanmetal Joint Organization, Coordinating Committee for Coastal and Offshore Geosciences of East and Southeast Asia, and Coordinating Committee for South Pacific Applied Geosciences, and achieved outstanding research results. In addition, Guangzhou Marine Geological Survey has a Class-A certificate of marine special engineering survey issued by the Ministry of Construction, and has actively explored the marine geological market at home and abroad by using the advantages of equipment and technology. It has successively completed a number of international submarine optical cable line field surveys, Guangdong No.1 and No.2 nuclear power plants' basic engineering surveys, Hong Kong sewage engineering surveys, Niigata, Ma Haixia geophysical surveys, Sudan Port Wharf Restoration projects, Zhuhai Lingdingyang Bridge project surveys, Qiongzhou Strait Cross-sea Bridge project feasibility studies, and so on.
