Registration conditions of pharmacists in China

The registration conditions for Chinese pharmacists are as follows:

All People's Republic of China (PRC) citizens and persons of other nationalities who are allowed to work in China meet one of the following conditions, and can sign up for the licensed pharmacist qualification examination.

(1) Having obtained a technical secondary school degree in pharmacy, traditional Chinese medicine or related majors and having been engaged in pharmacy or traditional Chinese medicine for seven years.

(2) Having obtained a college degree in pharmacy, traditional Chinese medicine or related majors, and having been engaged in pharmacy or traditional Chinese medicine for five years.

(3) Having obtained a bachelor's degree in pharmacy, traditional Chinese medicine or related majors, and having been engaged in pharmacy or traditional Chinese medicine for three years.

(4) Obtained the second bachelor's degree in pharmacy, traditional Chinese medicine or related majors, graduated from postgraduate courses or obtained a master's degree, and worked in pharmacy or traditional Chinese medicine for 1 year.

(five) to obtain a doctorate in pharmacy, Chinese medicine or related majors.

(VI) Those who are evaluated and hired for senior professional and technical positions in accordance with the relevant provisions of the state and meet one of the following conditions may be exempted from the two subjects of Pharmacy (Chinese Pharmacy) Professional Knowledge (I) and Pharmacy (Chinese Pharmacy) Professional Knowledge (II) and only take the exams of Pharmacy Administration and Regulations and Comprehensive Knowledge and Skills (Pharmacy and Chinese Pharmacy).

1. Apprentice of traditional Chinese medicine, graduated from technical secondary school majoring in pharmacy or traditional Chinese medicine, and has been engaged in pharmacy or traditional Chinese medicine for 20 years.

2. Obtain a college degree or above in pharmacy, traditional Chinese medicine or related majors, and work continuously in pharmacy or traditional Chinese medicine 15 years.

Chinese pharmacist refers to the licensed pharmacist qualification system implemented by the state in the field of Chinese medicine production and circulation. Enterprises and institutions engaged in the production and business activities of traditional Chinese medicine (Chinese herbal medicines, proprietary Chinese medicines, Chinese herbal pieces and Chinese herbal health products) must be equipped with qualified pharmacists in their key positions.
