Urumqi 1

Commonly known as "Urumqi", formerly known as Dihua, it is the capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and the political, economic, cultural, scientific, technological, educational and transportation center of Xinjiang. Urumqi was originally a city developed by Xinjiang Garrison in Qing Dynasty. 1763, Qingganlong expanded its fortification and changed its name to Dihua.

Dihua became the capital of Xinjiang province from 65438 to 0884, and has since become the political center of Xinjiang. 1954 Dihua changed its name to Urumqi, which means "beautiful pasture" in Mongolian.

2. Karamay City

Keke, a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is an important national petroleum and petrochemical base in Xinjiang and a new industrialized city under construction. Karamay is located in the northwest edge of Junggar basin, the central area of Eurasia-the central area of Pan-Central Asia, and is the gathering area of the world petroleum and petrochemical industry, with oil and gas resources reserves accounting for nearly 80% of the world.

3. Turpan City
