Is it true that Chinese people can rent cars overseas without deposit?

Starting from November 27, users with a Sesame Credit score of 700 or above can rent a car at five major airports in the United States, Thailand, and New Zealand without deposit or credit card guarantee. This is the overseas deposit-free service launched by Sesame Credit last week after the all-in-all-in deposit elimination, jointly with its partner Car Rental and the American car dealer Yesaway. This is also the world's first overseas deposit-free car rental service.

In the past, when Chinese people wanted to rent a car abroad, they generally needed to swipe their credit card for pre-authorization, which meant freezing part of the credit card limit as a "deposit." Now, users can enter the car rental platform through Alipay and select yesaway. In the "Vehicle Deposit (Pre-Authorization)" column, select Sesame Credit to complete the reservation without deposit, waive the credit card guarantee deposit, and conveniently pay for car rental related expenses through Alipay.

Hu Tao said that overseas car rental is also a new scenario for enriching credit and deposit-free services. In the next year, Zhima Credit will comprehensively upgrade the credit deposit-free program and introduce multi-dimensional capabilities including risk control, insurance and other to better serve customers. Chinese Travel Service "hopes to work with more partners like Car Rental and Yesaway to jointly promote the elimination of deposits."
