Yangxian County, Hanzhong City: Go into Zhiguo Village and visit Zhiguo Temple.

In the western suburb of Yangxian County, Hanzhong, there is a famous Zhiguo Temple in Zhiguo Village, Xiecun Town. During the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, there were tall city walls and moats here, forming a group of castle-style monasteries, which were once known as "famous temples in the Han Dynasty". On March 5, 213, Zhiguo Temple was announced as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units-

On the occasion of the Spring Festival in 217, my family and I traveled to Sichuan. On February 2, on the way back, when passing through Yangxian County, I visited the Juehuang Hall of Liangma Temple. Later, we came to the nearby Zhiguo Village, facing the gate of Zhiguo Middle School, and on the right stood a monument to the national key cultural relics protection unit, which impressively read "Zhiguo Temple".

?

just after stopping the car, the gate opened and an elder sister came out. After explaining her purpose, she enthusiastically led me into the tour, and the face-on wall read "Unity? Endeavour? Seeking truth? Innovation "eight bright red characters. Zhiguo Middle School, formerly known as "National No.7 Middle School", was founded by the Kuomintang and has a long teaching history. It once trained a large number of talents for the society.

I didn't go far ahead, and turned into the courtyard on the right. The trees were towering, quiet and solemn. The main hall of Zhiguo Temple looms in front of us, with wings and wings on both sides. The ground was covered with moss, as if no one had stepped on it for a long time; In the glass cover in front of the temple, there are two stone tablets-

Zhiguo Temple was built in the years of Tang Yifeng (676-679) and was renovated in the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. At that time, the temple covered an area of about 53 mu, with huge scale, rows of halls and cigarettes. Today, there are only the Great Buddha Hall and the Buddhist Scripture Building, which are buildings of the Yuan and Ming Dynasties. The rest of the wing rooms and wing rooms were built after the Qing Dynasty.

rebuilt in the yuan dynasty, this big Buddha hall faces south in a "convex" shape, with five rooms wide and seven rafters deep, and rests on the top of the mountain with a single eaves. On the ground in front of the main hall, there are many stone tablet bases, where some stone tablets from the Song, Ming and Qing Dynasties were erected.

The center of the roof is decorated with a pavilion-like brick carving, commonly known as Ziya Building. The two ends of the roof are decorated with kisses, and the ridge is covered with fairy beasts and gray tiles, which is simple and elegant. It is said that on the walls of the temple, a large number of murals are painted, mainly with characters such as the king of heaven. Unfortunately, the door is locked and you can't enter to watch.

On the left front of the Great Buddha Hall, there is a big iron clock, which is small and inconspicuous. However, it was cast in the first year of the Ming Dynasty (1436) and is one of the "Eight Scenes of Zhiguo Temple". It used to be famous for eight landscapes, such as "Tibetan Classics in the Gaoge", "Monument to the Oracle", "Stone Mirror Showing People", "Pagoda in the South Yard", "Looking at the Han Dynasty in the Kuilou", "Ancient City Ruins", "The Bell in the East Pavilion" and "Sleeping Buddha in the Xiangtai".

the sutra collection building is located behind the Buddha Hall. It was built in the 14th year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty (1586), with a length of 21.7 meters, a width of 18.3 meters and a height of 12 meters. It is a typical palace-style building. Originally, there were 4,178 volumes of various Buddhist scriptures here. Every year on the sixth day of the sixth month of the lunar calendar, a grand "sun-drying meeting" was held. Now, these scrolls have been transferred to Yangxian Museum, and the once lively scene can no longer be seen!

Why does Zhiguo Temple collect so many Buddhist scriptures? According to legend, in 1584, in the 12th year of Wanli, Ming Dynasty, Li Taihou suffered from eye diseases, which could not be cured for a long time. There was a monk named "Zhiguo" in Yangxian County who traveled to Beijing and went to the palace to treat the Queen Mother. After taking three doses of medicine, the eye disease was cured.

In order to express his gratitude, Emperor Wanli presented Zhiguo with a large number of Buddhist scriptures, and specially built this Buddhist scriptures building to store these precious Buddhist scriptures. At the same time, on the side of the imperial book, there is a plaque with the words "Give Zhiguo Temple". Now, according to the original, Zhiguo Temple copied one and hung it under the eaves.

In front of the Tibetan Scripture Building, there is a "oracle tablet", which was erected in the 16th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1588). The inscription records the source of the scriptures here in detail. There are 678 letters (678 volumes) of the royal scriptures given by the mother of Zhu Yijun, Ming Shenzong, which are the treasures of the national Buddhist scriptures.
