I'm a sophomore in Dezhou Vocational College of Science and Technology. I've been studying animation technology for nearly two years. Here's a brief introduction to this major and some personal learning experiences.

Animation is a kind of film art (film is called the seventh art besides traditional art). It is not a cartoon in the traditional sense. It involves many fields, and there are many similarities between its production process and film production. Animation is a collection of painting, technology, art and culture. To design characters, there must be scripts, plots, drawings and special effects, but the characters inside are also part of the production. Therefore, animation production is also divided into skills training in animation design, animation painting, animation director and animation production, and animation creative design and director, animation production and special effects synthesis are carried out in animation, games, film and television industries.

Personal learning experience

There is a popular saying in our learning circle that "I was extremely vicious in my last life, and I made cartoons in this life", which is a bit of a feeling of love and hate. Because animation is not like movies and TV series, which are three-dimensional and vivid, but requires hands-on drawing. A one-second picture (24 to 6 frames) may require 24 to 6 tiny dynamic pictures to create a one-second three-dimensional character effect. After continuous polishing, it is found that these efforts are particularly worthwhile, although the process is boring.

Animation production requires a lot of drawing and color matching, and details should be modified bit by bit, which tests patience and carefulness, and at the same time, requires a certain aesthetic ability. It may be easier for special students with painting skills to learn.

Course introduction

In the early stage, it is aimed at the accumulation of basic drawing, sketching, sketching, watercolor and some simple ps operations, while in the later stage, it focuses on related software learning and production synthesis, which is more technical. Finally, it is a process of comprehensive practical exercises, teamwork and students making complete works independently.
