The allusion of black and white impermanence began in the Southern Song Dynasty. Black and white are impermanent, among which Bai impermanence was originally named Xie Bi 'an, which means "He who appreciates God will be safe". He is tall and thin, with a white face, and belongs to Yang. He is always smiling and sticking out his long tongue. The official hat on his head reads "Make money at first sight", and the world respectfully calls him "Seven Lords". The original name of "black impermanence" is "Fan has no medicine to save", and the deep meaning is "those who violate the law and seek personal gain have no medicine to save", which belongs to Yin. His face is fierce, his body is broad and fat, his face is small and black, and the word "peace in the world" is written on his official hat. The world respectfully calls him "Eight Lords".

Two people have a skill, one yin and one yang, black impermanence belongs to yin and Wu, and white impermanence belongs to yang. Therefore, there is a folk saying that life is impermanent, death is impermanent, and black and white see luck.

It is said that black and white are impermanent, and great love is important. Lu Xun once wrote in "Morning Flowers and Evening Picks"

The ranking of the underworld is as follows: Wei Zhi (early Tang Dynasty), Zhong Kui (early Tang Dynasty), Cui Jue (Tang Dynasty poet), Niutou (male) and Liunaima (female), so the last two are black impermanence and white impermanence. In fact, there is another name for the people, because Bai impermanence is tall and also known as "Grandpa Dragon"; Black impermanence is shorter than white impermanence, so it is called "short master"

There are also rumors that the name black and white impermanence is very meaningful. Sebian means that those who reward God will be safe; Without salvation, there is no salvation for those who break the law and do evil.
