Present situation of papermaking in Handan

On the whole, the paper industry in Handan is depressed. There are 18 base paper enterprises in Handan, of which there are 12 with a production scale of less than 34,000 tons/year and 6 with a production scale of more than 34,000 tons; * * * There are 32 clinker papermaking enterprises, of which 17 have a production scale below 1 10,000 tons/year, and 15 have a production scale above 1 10,000 tons/year. A considerable number of small enterprises are facing the fate of being closed down because their waste discharge is not up to standard, and some enterprises are on the verge of bankruptcy because of poor efficiency ... Some existing factories are mostly concentrated in Yongnian County around the northern part of Handan, mostly using old physicochemical pulp and crop straw as raw materials, mainly low-end products such as cardboard. There is little raw wood pulp, so these products are mostly positioned at the high end, while the competitiveness of Handan paper industry is generally not strong, and the market is positioned at the low end.
