Employment direction and treatment of computer doctor

Academia:

For computer majors, it is relatively easy to find jobs in enterprises, and the general salary is several times that of colleges and universities, but many computer doctors return to China and regard colleges and universities as an unshakable choice.

The author also interviewed many computer returned doctors, and the main reasons why they chose universities can be summarized as follows:

(1) The working hours and working forms of colleges and universities are relatively free, especially the research direction;

(2) go to a college, get a long-term teaching position, and have a stable job;

(3) I think that going to colleges and universities is to work for yourself, and going to enterprises is to work for others;

(4) Age, thinking that going to the company can't get management positions, and moving bricks can't move young people, but going to colleges and universities is the golden age of growth.

There are three main situations for overseas doctors to return to China to find a teaching position:

(1) After obtaining the National Young Talents Program, 985 schools (except top2) are full professors, tutors and editors. If the salary is paid, the average annual salary is about 700,000, and the settling-in expenses can be divided into schools, places and countries, and generally it can reach 2 million. Research start-up funds are provided by the school according to the national 1: 1. Generally, schools can always reach 6 million, and higher recruitment notices have reached100000.

(2) There is no national youth talent plan, and the school gives a school-level talent plan. Most schools offer full/associate professors with an annual salary of about 400,000 yuan and a certain amount of research start-up funds, which is a good choice for groups who want to join universities without a national hat.

(3) Pre-service assistant professor/associate professor/associate researcher, the annual salary is generally around 250,000, usually a contract of 3-6 years, which requires articles, teaching and fund project assessment, which is what everyone said. As you can see, the gap between having a hat and not having one is huge. If the results are accumulating, it is a good choice to sprint the national young talents. If the accumulation speed of grades is not good, it is also an option to find a suitable position to go back and occupy the pit.

Industry:

For computer doctors, industry has more choices. Mainly includes the following three situations:

(1) Research institutions of some big manufacturers undertake some academic research and commercial projects, such as Ali Dharma Institute and Tencent AI lab.

(2) Domestic Internet industry, including Huawei, Baidu, Ali, ByteDance, Pinduoduo, etc. The treatment definitely depends on the individual, but it is generally higher. For example, the salary of talented teenagers in Huawei is basically around 200w, and the special offers from other big manufacturers are also high. Students around you can basically get 65w-90w when they return to China after graduation. If they are in Beijing, most doctors will settle their accounts.

(3) In order to develop rapidly, some domestic start-ups often offer higher prices to compete with big Internet companies, and many doctors join start-ups because they are optimistic about listing. Once listed, their value will rise a lot.
