Yaye Expressway belongs to the vision line, from Ya 'an, Sichuan to Yecheng, Xinjiang.

Yaye Expressway, one of the east-west horizontal lines of the national expressway network, belongs to the prospective line, and its route mainly passes through the following areas: Ya 'an-tianquan county-Luding-Kangding-Litang-Mangkang-Basu-Linzhi-Lhasa-Shigatse-Gaer-Yecheng.

It spans Sichuan, Xizang Autonomous Region and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The line extends along Sichuan-Tibet Highway (G3 18 National Highway) and Xinzang Highway (G2 19 National Highway).

Significance of opening Yakang Expressway;

Yakang Expressway is an important passage connecting Ganzi Tibetan area in Chengdu Plain and then leading to Tibet. It was completed and put into trial operation on 20 18 12 3 1, thus ending the history that kangding city, the capital of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, closed the expressway. After opening to traffic, Kangding can be reached in 3.5 hours from Chengdu, and the time is shortened by nearly half.

The elevation difference of Yakang Expressway is great, and there are many unfavorable factors that affect the safe passage, such as tunnel group, continuous longitudinal slope, crosswind, bad weather of ice and snow, etc. It is suggested that the passenger shuttle bus should choose a suitable service area to stop and rest on the way, and then go on the road after adjusting its state.

In order to avoid drivers' fatigue driving in the tunnel for a long time, Yakang Expressway will sound alarms in Erlangshan Tunnel and Horn River Tunnel Group every day at critical time (12 to 14 and/kloc-0 to 5 am) to forcibly improve drivers' attention.
