Lijiang Teachers College

Lijiang Normal University is a provincial public full-time college approved by the Ministry of Education, and the only public college in northwest Yunnan. Its predecessor was Lijiang Institute of Education, which was merged with Lijiang Normal School for Nationalities in 200 1 year. The former Lijiang Institute of Education began in 1978, and the former Lijiang Normal School for Nationalities began in 1906. It has successively won the honorary titles of "Yunnan Civilized School", "Yunnan Safe Campus" and "Yunnan National Defense Education Advanced Unit".

Since the establishment of the school, more than 40,000 graduates have been trained, including 25,000 practical and skilled talents from all walks of life in northwest Yunnan. The establishment of the school in Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture has trained nearly 4,000 urgently needed talents for the economic and social development of Tibetan areas, and made positive contributions to the economic and social development, national unity and progress, and border harmony and stability in northwest Yunnan.
