The Future Development of Liao Bin Economic Development Zone in Panjin, Liaoning Province

Panjin Liao Bin Coastal Economic Zone is located at the southernmost tip of Panjin City, northeast of Liaodong Bay, on the right bank of the mouth of Daliao River, and across the river from Yingkou City, the second largest port city in Northeast China. It is the central area of the "five-point-one-line" coastal economic zone in Liaoning Province. The controllable area is 545 square kilometers.

In June 2006, the Liaoning Provincial Government listed Panjin Liao Bin Coastal Economic Zone as a "five-point-one-line" coastal key development area, and in July 2009, it was upgraded to a national strategy on 1. 20 10 10 was approved as Liaoning comprehensive reform experimental zone. It can accept the development radiation of the three major economic sectors and realize the sharing and coordination of resources. The economic zone is near the river and the sea, with a large number of beaches and wasteland, broad development space and low construction cost; There are more than 50 kilometers of riverbanks in the economic zone, and the water depth is relatively slow, which is an ideal place to develop shipbuilding industry. The convenient transportation in the economic zone has formed a three-dimensional transportation network of land, sea and air, which has provided favorable conditions for Panjin to develop its port economy.

Under the guidance of Scientific Outlook on Development, the planning and construction of Panjin Liao Bin Coastal Economic Zone will be built into an ecological coastal new city with the characteristics of resource saving, environmental friendliness, northern wetland and water city, and become a world-class marine engineering equipment manufacturing base relying on river shoreline resources. The industrial orientation of the economic zone is to develop equipment manufacturing industry with ships and their supporting industries as the main body, petrochemical industry with petroleum refining and deep processing of petroleum products as the main body, high-tech industry supported by high technology, modern service industry with emphasis on port logistics and business finance, and modern cultural industry based on theme media square and creative cultural industry.

The structural layout of Liaobin New City is "one belt, two axes, two circles and six districts". Among them, "belt" refers to the green waterfront ecological belt in the mouth of Daliaohe River and its coast; "Two axes" refers to the north-south urban development axis and the east-west landscape ecological axis; "Two circles" refers to the coastal shipbuilding industry circle and the inner lake commercial economic circle; "Six Districts" refer to Jinbowan Water Town, Binjiang Ecological Water Town, industrial workers' new village, coastal characteristic fishing village, Xingang Industrial Zone and Lingang Industrial Park.
