Introduction to Japan Tobacco Corporation

Japan Tobacco Industry Co., Ltd. is currently the only tobacco monopoly company in Japan. Its predecessor was the Japan Monopoly Corporation operated by the Ministry of Finance of Japan. Founded in 1904, it was changed to the Japan Monopoly Corporation in 1949. Since then, it has been in charge of Japan's domestic tobacco and salt monopoly rights. It has a high degree of monopoly on tobacco varieties, cultivation, acquisition, processing, cigarette production and material production and distribution, as well as the corresponding import and export business.
