Welding engineers are professionals engaged in welding technology, including welding technologists, welding builders, welding equipment engineers and welding quality inspectors. Their main responsibilities are as follows:

1. Under the leadership of the technical director, be responsible for welding technology, guide online welders to assemble and weld, and check welding quality.

2. Prepare the welding operation instruction and ensure its correct implementation in the construction process to ensure the smooth progress of construction production.

3. Research and manage welding technology to ensure welding quality.

4. Be responsible for reviewing the category and dosage of welding materials and supervising the storage, distribution and use of welding materials.

5. Determine the proportion of entrustment and inspection for nondestructive testing of the project, and review the results of nondestructive testing.

6. Supervise and inspect the welding quality of subcontractors, and analyze, handle and report the problems in the welding process.

7. Be responsible for tackling key technical problems and handling welding quality accidents in the welding process of the project.

8. According to the requirements of the project, write the welding database; Write the welding program and pour it into the welding controller; Control welding quality and fine-tune data; Provide process design and technical support for the reconstruction or construction of welding production line; Responsible for the research of new welding technology and the application of new materials.

For the qualification of this position, it is generally required to have a bachelor's degree or above, and relevant professional backgrounds such as machinery, welding, heat energy, metal material engineering, material forming and control engineering, heat treatment, etc. In addition, you should be proficient in Auto CAD drawing and have a solid basic knowledge of welding.
