Chaohe belongs to Rizhao Development Zone or a town in Wulian.

Chaohe Town is located in the southeast of Wulian County, 34 kilometers away from the county seat. It borders Jiaonan City in the east, Rizhao City in the south, and Jia Wei Township and Kouguan Township in the county in the west and north respectively. With a total area of 44 square kilometers, the terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, mostly hilly with a small plain in the middle. The soil is mostly brown soil and fluvo-aquic soil, which has strong fertility and water retention. There are 4,300 households18,500 people in 26 administrative villages in the town.
