Fulaerji District is a municipal district of Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, located on the west bank of Nenjiang River, 37 kilometers southwest of downtown Qiqihar. Fulaerji District was developed during the First Five-Year Plan period, with an existing population of 296,000, including 235,000 non-agricultural population. Fulaerji Economic Development Zone is located in the northern suburb of Fulaerji City, 4.5 kilometers away from the city center, bordering Nenjiang River in the east, central city in the south, Fulaerji Oilfield in the west and Meris District in Qiqihar City in the north. The terrain is flat and the slope range is less than 5 degrees. The Development Zone is a comprehensive park consisting of two science parks, namely "provincial private science and technology enterprise demonstration zone" and "provincial agricultural science and technology park", with a total area of 30.2 square kilometers, which was launched in August 2003.
