There are four main employment directions for forestry majors: applying for forestry companies, taking an examination of civil servants, going to graduate school and starting their own businesses.

1, apply for forestry company. Mainly flower seedling companies and landscaping companies, flower seedling companies can be technicians and salesmen, and landscaping companies can be planting technicians, construction supervision, landscape planning and so on.

2. Civil service examination. Civil servants are mainly civil servants who are admitted to state-owned forest farms, nature reserves or forestry departments, and can also take exams for civil servants in other departments;

3. Go to graduate school for further study. Generally, I go to Forestry University, Academy of Forestry and Forestry College for postgraduate study.

4. Start your own business. After graduating from forestry major, you can choose to contract barren hills to plant economic forests and timber forests, and cooperate with undergrowth planting or breeding.

Forestry technology is a specialized course in China's colleges and universities, which belongs to forestry major and lasts for three years. Forestry technology mainly studies the basic knowledge and skills of botany, forest soil science, forest seedling production technology, forest cultivation technology, forest management and resource management, and carries out forest seed selection, forest planting, forest pest control and quarantine, forest resource investigation and management, etc. For example, the cultivation and maintenance of trees in the forest, the prevention and control of diseases such as tree yellowing and mosaic, and the investigation of the species and quantity of forest animal and plant resources.
