China's 26th Antarctic expedition has carried out 59 scientific expeditions, and besides the routine scientific expeditions and logistical support tasks of Great Wall Station and Zhongshan Station, it will also focus on the inland scientific expeditions of Kunlun Station and Grove Mountain.

At the beginning of 2009, China built the first Antarctic inland research station-Kunlun Station in Dome A, the highest point of Antarctic inland ice sheet ... During the 26th Antarctic expedition, the expedition team will make good preparations for deep ice core drilling, build a deep ice core drilling site in Kunlun Station, continue to carry out glaciological observation, site investigation, astronomical observation and mapping survey from Zhongshan Station to Dome A, and complete the second phase of Kunlun Station, including the installation and debugging of sewage treatment equipment.

During the 26th Antarctic expedition, China expedition members will conduct the 5th scientific expedition in the Grove Mountain area, and study the exposure age, Cenozoic sedimentary rocks and their sporopollen, geological structure, modern ice-snow interface environmental chemistry and ecological geology, carry out geophysical exploration on the subglacial paleosedimentary basin in the Grove Mountain area, carry out mapping in the core area, and collect meteorites in the Grove Mountain area.
