Saiqi Town is located in the geographical center of eastern Fujian, which belongs to Fu 'an City, and is the window of developing export-oriented economy in eastern Fujian. 1996 was listed as a national pilot town for small town construction by the Ministry of Construction, a demonstration town for comprehensive economic development by the State Planning Commission in 2000, a key town for economic development by the provincial government in 20001year, and one of the top ten towns for economic development in Ningde in 2003.
