Leading Technology of Yantian International Container Terminal

Have great potential

Yantian International has six large container deep-water berths 16, with a total length of 7,885 meters and a water depth of 14 meters to 17.4 meters, which can simultaneously berth 10 large ships with a weight of more than 8,000 TEUs. The berth is equipped with 74 shore cranes, including 5 1 super Panama shore crane, which can serve 24 large ships with wide slots, including 27 double shore cranes, and can operate two 40-foot boxes or four 20-foot boxes at the same time.

The dock covers an area of 373 hectares and can accommodate 400,000 TEUs at the same time. There are 73 access gates (4 1 entrance and 32 exits) at the gate. These facilities and equipment ensure that Yantian International can handle the peak operation demand of street cars and cabinets brought by large ships. On September 26th, 20 13, Yantian International Gate successfully operated 26,807 containers, setting a record since it was opened. What is more encouraging is that in the face of such huge street traffic, the average trailer circulation time of the terminal is still controlled within 32 minutes.

current technology

Yantian International successfully upgraded the terminal operating system to nGen in June 2003. The system is jointly developed by Yantian International and Hong Kong International Terminal, and has the functions of intelligent yard and ship planning. Since nGen was put into production, the version upgrade has been arranged regularly every year to provide continuous functional improvement.

With the help of nGen system, the control center (the operation center of the terminal) can manage the operation of the whole terminal. For example, when a large ship is about to dock, the control center will not only allocate berths, shore cranes, trailers and other loading and unloading equipment in advance according to the size and loading and unloading capacity of the ship, but also display the current position and planned position of gantry cranes in the yard on the computer screen of the control center. Then, through the system, the control center automatically allocates what equipment containers of different sizes need to be equipped with, so that the loaded and unloaded containers can be quickly stacked in place. Scientific and rigorous, equipped with nGen system with pre-assigned tasks, Yantian International provides customers with world-class operational efficiency.

Yantian International not only assists production operations through the information technology system in the office area, but also configures wireless application systems in the yard and bridge operation area for real-time communication and systematic management. Wireless handsets and walkie-talkies for two-way communication are fully deployed in the first-line operation team, and the wireless network covers every corner of the terminal operation area. These information technologies ensure the real-time information communication between the front-line operation team and the control center, and make the huge terminal operate in an orderly manner.

As a world-class wharf, Yantian International provides customers with 24-hour and 365-day uninterrupted service. Yantian International's information system also operates around the clock according to business needs. The unscheduled downtime of the system is less than 2.5 hours throughout the year, and a single system failure can be recovered within 25 minutes. By the end of 20 13, Yantian international operation system had been running continuously for 1 0,456 days without unplanned downtime.

Experienced

On June 5, 2006, 15500 TEU "Emma Maersk" docked at Yantian International. This is Maersk's first E-class ship. By the end of 20 13, more than 80% of the world's large ships and super-large ships docked at Yantian International, and more than 90% of the super-large ships above 10000 TEU.

20 13 On July 24th, Yantian International welcomed the world's largest container ship, Maersk mckenney Mueller, 18000 TEU, which not only increased the number of one-way containers, saved costs, but also produced environmental benefits. Yantian International berthed and operated two maersk 3E-class ships, the Medici Maersk and the Happy Maersk, on October 23rd, 20 14.

Yantian International handled 65,438+0,796,000 TEUs in 2065,438+03, a record high. The continuous berthing of large ships has brought considerable workload to Yantian International, accounting for 59% of Yantian International's throughput in 20 13 years.

In a word, Yantian International's software and hardware fully demonstrated its great strength in serving large ships and super-large ships. Yantian International is one of the leaders of large-scale ship service in the world.
