Nanping Science and Technology Industrial Park was established on March 6th, 1999, with a total area of 4.36 square kilometers. It is located in the western suburbs of Zhuhai, 5 kilometers east of the urban area, 45 kilometers away from the container terminal of Kyushu Port, 0/0 kilometers away from Zhu Jiang expressway/KLOC, and 0/0 kilometers away from the future Zhuhai Railway Station/KLOC. Zhuhai Avenue, West Guangdong Coastal Expressway and Tai 'ao Expressway pass through the park and connect with Tongguang-Zhuhai Expressway.

Nanping Science and Technology Industrial Park is an important part of Zhuhai National High-tech Industrial Development Zone. As an agency of Zhuhai Municipal Government and a subsidiary of Zhuhai High-tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee, the Park Management Committee performs the functions of party-mass organization, development management, investment service, supervision and coordination, statistical information and so on. It consists of three departments: Office, Economic Development Bureau and Construction Management Bureau, with administrative establishment of 15. At present, there are two staff members 12 and two party building instructors.

The park covers an area of 4.36 square kilometers, and it is planned to be an industrial area of 4.2 square kilometers and a living area of 0. 16 square kilometers. 3.7 square kilometers of supporting industrial zones have been developed, including 0.75 square kilometers of municipal infrastructure and 2.95 square kilometers of enterprises. The built workshop covers an area of 2.5 million square meters, with an average land utilization rate of 0.85, a building area of 2.6 million square meters and an average building plot ratio of 0.88. At present, the total infrastructure investment has reached more than 1 1 billion yuan, mainly from local government finance and bank loans. And developed supporting industrial areas and living areas, reaching the requirements of "six connections and one leveling" and "roads, water supply, power supply, drainage, sewage discharge and communication", and most of the greening and street lighting projects were completed.

After more than six years of development and construction, it has developed into an economic functional zone with new industrialization characteristics, which is dominated by electronic information (including communication equipment), optical, mechanical and electrical integration (including power automation), bioengineering (including biopharmaceuticals), fine chemicals, precision molds and new materials. With the continuous expansion of economic scale and the rapid increase of economic aggregate, it is changing from the initial "farmland wasteland" and "investment depression" to today's "industrial prosperity"

By September 2005, 500 enterprises had settled in the park, with more than 45,000 employees.
