Under special circumstances, it is also organic processing, which is the slowest one. You have to choose. Let's talk about cold heading first. Specifications are usually M3~M30. First, select the wire. After pickling and cold drawing, connect one end of the wire to the feed of the cold heading machine. According to the die in the cold heading machine, a hexagonal blank with a hole in the middle will be punched out. The form is the same as the general hexagon nut, but there is no tapping. The old cold heading machine can't be formed at one time, so it can only punch the hexagonal blank, and then it has to be poured into the funnel of the tapping machine for tapping. Heat treatment and surface treatment are also needed, that is, adjusting the hardness of the nut and antirust treatment of the surface. At present, the cold heading machine is formed at one time, but there is not much difference in principle, that is, it is faster to combine the tapping machine and the cold heading machine, and cold heading forming is the fastest and lowest cost production process. Generally, hot heading will be selected for larger specifications, generally from M 16 to M 160, or even larger. The material is generally round steel, without cold drawing and pickling. First blanking, upsetting with a punch, the surface roughness is the same as that of cold upsetting, and then tapping. If there are special requirements, both sides of the nut can be chamfered and heat treated. Cold heading and hot heading are generally divided into the following steps:

Drawing-cold heading-(heat treatment)-tapping-surface treatment; Blanking-red punching-chamfering-hole turning-(heat treatment)-tapping-surface treatment or blanking-ball upsetting-annealing, phosphating-forming-punching-(heat treatment)-tapping-surface treatment.
