What does the mold design and development process mainly include?

A car model needs to develop hundreds of parts, thousands of sets of molds, and each part needs to develop new molds. Auto panels, structural parts and cross beams are inseparable from molds. Mold development cycle is long, the cost is high, and the requirements for mold quality and dimensional accuracy are high.

After receiving the order, sign a commercial contract. Specific requirements and agreements are stipulated in the contract, and customers provide product data.

According to the data provided by customers, white light scanning is carried out, and the state of parts is obtained through SE analysis (synchronous engineering).

Using CAE simulation, the problems existing in the feasibility of mold development are studied and the conclusions are drawn.

According to the results of CAE simulation, the data is submitted to the stamping process design, that is, the method design. Through data analysis, how many processes are needed for die development, which process is trimming, and which process is punching and flanging, all of which are needed for stamping process design.

After the stamping process design is completed, the data will be fed back to the mold structure designer, who will draw and design the mold and draw the drawings.

After the mold drawing is completed, it will be submitted to the model making company (made of mold styrofoam) for mold casting.

After the mold casting is completed, the qualified products are processed, assembled and debugged by the mold fitter.

Deliver customer products after mold debugging is completed.
