Regarding geographical restrictions, most of what I heard in the early years was that some units were more inclined to recruit local people. In recent years, there seems to be a new version, and some companies explicitly refuse to recruit locals. Why is there such a restriction? Why don't some companies like to recruit local people? What's the difference between outsiders and locals?
1, a place can set up enterprises that can accommodate many people's employment, which shows that the local economic conditions are not bad and the corresponding living costs are relatively high. This requires enterprises to pay higher salaries, and enterprises aim at profit. Only cheap labor can make enterprises get more profits. This determines that enterprises can't meet the requirements of employees and have to recruit foreigners with lower costs. As long as foreigners solve the problem of food and shelter, they will pay lower wages than locals.
2. Recruiting local people will increase the management difficulty of enterprises. Because local people live in the local area and have a wide network of contacts, they are uncomfortable in a company and can change jobs at any time, which will lead to repeated recruitment and increase costs. People from other places are in other places, eating and living in the company dormitory, and they work harder. Generally speaking, there is no major matter, and I will not leave my job or ask for leave casually. Enterprises can call them at any time. Moreover, foreigners generally choose to submit to humiliation because the cost of safeguarding rights is too high. The wages of local enterprises are too low to support family expenses. Many enterprises also recruit local people. Nowadays, many people pursue the comfort of life. If they can find jobs that can support themselves and their families near their homes, many people will choose to join local enterprises. In such a place, the separation of husband and wife and the left-behind children can only show that the local salary is not ideal, the income and expenditure are unbalanced, and it is not attractive to the local people!
Being able to accept overtime, being more enterprising and suffering, migrant workers are obviously better in the eyes of enterprises.
Not only start-ups but also enterprises that have developed for a long time need energetic employees. At the moment when business competition is so fierce, the more stable the enterprise, the more it should find ways to reform and innovate, so as to keep up with the new business trend and create greater glories. Therefore, an excessively stable state means stagnation, that is, it is not competitive and may fall behind.
In other words, enterprises need employees with stable working conditions and employees who work harder. In this case, the stability of local people has become a disadvantage, and foreigners who "love to fight to win" are more favored by some enterprises.
Case description
The recruitment regulation of a company in Tianjin is "no Tianjin native". Why is this happening? Is it in compliance with the law?
First of all, the difference between local hukou and foreign hukou in five insurances and one gold is mainly due to the difference in payment base and standard (payment ratio). If the recruitment of local workers requires enterprises to pay a higher proportion of five insurances and one gold than foreign workers, then the labor cost that enterprises need to invest is higher.
Secondly, the company HR mentioned that "the problem of going to the land will be involved in the later stage", and local people may find it difficult to promote this business considering their social relations.
Finally, enterprises will consider this position as sales, mainly for business trips and entertainment, but local people have their own stable family and work life in the local area, and will definitely pursue a stable life more than foreigners who work hard outside. Although this idea is somewhat unreasonable and biased, it does belong to the factors that enterprises will consider when selecting employees.
Of course, it should be made clear that such a provision is inconsistent with the law.
The deeper reason.
1, that is, outsiders are relatively easy to exploit, which is the fundamental reason.
Seeing this, many friends may ask, it's all people. Why is it easy for outsiders to squeeze, but not for locals? Let me tell you why. Because foreigners come to work in a strange city, their life pressure is relatively high. Which one doesn't need money for rent, meals, transportation and daily necessities?
If you finally find a job, you will cherish it. Even if the bosses of these companies often ask them to work overtime or deduct money easily, these foreigners should bear it. Why? You can't bear it, but if you can't bear to resign, your rent and meals will be in trouble next month, let alone anything else.
The local people will not be easily exploited by the boss.
Why? Because locals generally have their own houses in their own cities, and they don't worry about eating. Your boss dares to make me work overtime for free, or deduct my money at every turn. If necessary, I will quit. Anyway, I have no pressure of life, I just need to find a new job. Outsiders can't, because if you don't work for a day, your living cost will continue to increase, and then the problems of rent and food will not be solved. So we all know why many companies are reluctant to recruit local people.
Outsiders can only strive to survive, and they will not resign easily when they encounter unfair things. Of course the boss likes this kind of person.
