What can futures companies do besides brokerage business?
Generally speaking, futures companies are divided into two positions: backstage and foreground. Backstage positions must pass the qualification examination.
Backstage positions include finance, risk, settlement, transaction, technology, customer service, research, front desk reception, etc. Of course, I didn't mention the positions of managers at all levels in the headquarters and managers of subordinate business departments here.
The front desk positions are mainly the marketing department, as well as the traders you often see.
Backstage positions are generally not open for direct recruitment. These positions can directly or indirectly come into contact with important information of the company, such as risks, settlement, trading positions, etc. They all hold the most confidential information of all customers' funds, transactions, contact information and so on in real time. Many of these positions are held by the cronies of the company's top management or important people, or at least the employees with deep qualifications in the company, so the personnel in these positions are generally relatively stable and there is little turnover.
Front desk position, marketing staff, specializing in business, the source of income is the commission of their own customers. The employees in the marketing department are highly mobile. To put it bluntly, they can even change jobs many times in 1 year, so these employees will definitely not be exposed to the relatively confidential information of the company.
Traders, managing money on behalf of customers, are not generally understood to receive customer orders and then place orders according to customer instructions. The initial development of traders is also very difficult. Most traders need to develop their own customers in the early stage, and even open accounts with their own money. After they can make stable profits and get the approval of the company, the company will consider letting them trade on behalf of customers. Moreover, the more formal practice of futures companies is not to sign labor contracts with traders in the name of futures companies, but to sign intermediary agreements with traders, or to sign contracts with traders in the name of investment companies such as cooperative companies and group ownership, which involves futures laws and regulations.
The marketing department and traders of futures companies are highly mobile, and their initial income is relatively low. They may have no basic salary for more than 1 year or even longer, and there is no income without business volume. In particular, traders who can persist in staying and making stable profits, I personally think that the proportion of applicants is less than 1%. Of course, the income of marketers who can persist in the end and have a large number of customers or traders who can make stable profits is very considerable.
Generally speaking, it still depends on personal ability.
