Introduction of Enshi Vocational and Technical College:

Enshi Vocational and Technical College is a full-time ordinary college approved by Hubei Provincial People's Government. The school is an excellent school for evaluating the talent training level of higher vocational colleges of the Ministry of Education, a model higher vocational college in Hubei Province, a high-quality school in Hubei Province, and a "high-quality school for revitalizing talents in rural areas" recommended by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

The school has nine secondary colleges and continuing education colleges, including economic management, electromechanical engineering, information engineering, bioengineering, architectural engineering, humanities education, tourism management, sports and medicine, public education and secondary vocational education. There are 1 national professional demonstration sites (tourism management), 2 national key majors, 2 provincial brand majors and 4 provincial characteristic majors.

Historical development of the school:

1938, Dr. Zhuang, who moved from the northeast to the west, established an obstetrical clinic with the support of Miss Simon Cai Ying of the American Lutheran Church. In the same year, the obstetric clinic was renamed the obstetric school. 194 1 was renamed as the Senior Nursing School of Xinyi Hospital. 1995, renamed as "Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture Health School" with the approval of Hubei Provincial People's Government.

1979, Enshi National Trade Technical School was established. 1993, the national trade technical school in western Hubei Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture was renamed as Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture National Trade Technical School.

1In February, 1999, the state government made a decision to merge four schools, namely, State Finance School, State Engineering School, State Forestry School and State Supply and Marketing School, to form Enshi Vocational and Technical School, and to build Enshi Vocational and Technical College. In 2002, the school was identified as a "provincial school" by the provincial government. On May 20 1 1, the school successfully ranked among the demonstration higher vocational colleges in Hubei Province.

In August 2020, Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture Commercial Technical School was officially merged into Enshi Vocational and Technical College.
