How to get started as a Japanese translator

Look for a part-time job first, find a translation company. Translate some of the materials they need. When you first come out, no one has any experience. You can first translate some documents for free for others. Once the translation is done, more people will use you, and you will have translation experience, so translation companies will want it. Or show your translation results to the company. Alternatively, you can go directly to the company for an interview and ask to be translated on the spot. The key is to master professional terminology.
