It is understandable that students yearn for Xiamen University, but this yearning should not be reflected in the insignificant "Xiamen University is waiting for me" on the wall, but should be implemented in their daily study. I would like to ask, if they really become a member of Xiamen University in the future and change their status from tourists to students, when they see the original beautiful painting wall of their school being destroyed by various messy messages, will they also feel that they have scrawled and scrawled in the past? What if the quality of the person is too low and the behavior is too excessive? What those tourists left on the wall was no longer a sentence or a yearning, but evidence that highlighted their low quality.

Obviously, these tourists did not use the graffiti wall as a wall, but regarded it as a message wall. On the graffiti wall are various paintings that have been created by Xiamen teachers and students. Writing or drawing on it is tantamount to an infringement on other people's works of art. The nature of this behavior is the same as visiting the Louvre in France and scribbling on world-famous paintings with a pen. Although there is a big difference in value between the two, they are also the artistic achievements of others and should be respected. What's more, the walls of the tunnel have been clearly painted with eight large characters: "Respect creation, please do not sign paintings." What's funny is that around these eight words, there are also large and small black writings. This makes the originally black characters look a bit pale and feeble.

Nowadays, the graffiti wall covered with messy notes has been difficult to restore to its original state, and its ornamental value has been greatly reduced. It is self-evident whether the title of "China's most literary tunnel" can still live up to its name. We can't hold people responsible, because the person who caused this result is not one, two, three or four, but countless tourists who have passed through this place for a long time. But this incident at least gave us a wake-up call. If the school had stopped it in time when someone discovered graffiti, then the graffiti wall would not have become the messy mess it is now; if tourists had consciously protected the graffiti on it, then what we see now would still be the same. It is not too late to make amends. We can't save this place, but in addition, there may be other graffiti or works of art in public places that are suffering similar treatment.
