Some professionals divide optical engineering into two categories. Horizontally, there are relatively few good research companies that can be selected for optical engineering, and the employment scope is narrower. Employment direction of optical engineering:

2. Virtual reality and augmented reality technology: mainly engaged in the research of algorithms, technologies and systems of virtual reality and augmented reality, and their applications in various fields.

3. Low light level and infrared thermal imaging technology: mainly engaged in the design, testing, simulation and overall technology of low light level and infrared imaging detection theory, technology and system.
