Stomatological education in China Medical University began in 1948, stomatology was established in 1985, stomatological hospital was established in 1987, and stomatological college was established in 1998. In September, 2004, a 9-story comprehensive building integrating medical treatment, teaching and scientific research was completed and put into use, with a building area of10.2 million square meters, located in the north of Zhongshan Square in the central area of Shenyang. The hospital has outpatient, emergency and ward, modern internal facilities, such as central air conditioning, HIS hospital management network, doctor-patient call system, laminar flow operating room, etc. At present, the hospital has 13 teaching and research section, 17 clinical department, 8 medical and technical departments and central laboratory.
