Daoxiang Village (Suzhou) originated from 1773 (the thirty-eighth year of Qingganlong), and has been called "Suzhou Daoxiang Village Tea Shop" for 249 years. When Emperor Qianlong went down to the south of the Yangtze River, he ate cakes in Daoxiang Village, Suzhou, praised them as "delicious food" and inscribed a plaque, which became famous all over the world. Daoxiang Village adheres to the "artisan spirit" in products, and traditional handicraft skills are passed down from generation to generation through the way of "master with apprentice". From birth to now, it has spread to the sixth generation. In 2006, Suzhou Daoxiang Village was recognized by the Ministry of Commerce as "China's time-honored brand". In 2009, "Suzhou-style moon cake making skills in Daoxiang Village" was listed in the list of intangible cultural heritage protection in Jiangsu Province.
