Bayinguoleng Vocal Music Technical College is a full-time comprehensive higher vocational and technical college approved by the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on February 6, 2002. It was formed by the merger of the former Bazhou Finance and Trade School, Bazhou Agricultural School, Bazhou Technical School, Korla Vocational Secondary School and Korla No.10 Middle School and No.5 Middle School.

There are 53 secondary vocational majors and 30 higher vocational majors in oil and gas exploitation, communication technology, numerical control technology application, thermal energy and power engineering, mineral processing technology, automotive electronics technology, metallurgical technology, electrical automation, animal husbandry and veterinary technology, gardening technology and food processing technology. Animal husbandry and veterinary technology is a characteristic specialty supported by the autonomous region, and ideological and moral cultivation and legal basis are the key construction courses at the autonomous region level.

Cooperation and communication

Since its establishment, the College has strengthened its ties with well-known vocational colleges at home and abroad. In 2003, the college signed a joint school agreement with Kyoto Language School in Japan, Barry College in Denmark, Aberforth College in Canada and Kalmyk Republic in Russia. In 2004, kalmyk signed a joint school-running agreement with the Russian Federation, and the two sides established a long-term cooperative school-running relationship.

In 2005, the college reached a preliminary cooperation intention through negotiations with Hebei University and Hebei Normal University.
