The Historical Evolution of Shuangdian Middle School in Rudong County

Rudong Shuangdian High School was founded in 1952, and it is one of the five high schools in Rudong County.

At the beginning of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Rudong county party committee and government were far-sighted, and made education and training talents the top priority. Under the extremely difficult material conditions, they give priority to the development of junior high school education. 1952, they founded "Rudong Shuangdian Junior Middle School Class", which is the predecessor of Rudong Shuangdian Senior Middle School, and appointed Comrade Guo Yunchen as the person in charge to form a school committee of 23 people. In the first generation of Shuangzhong, headed by Guo Yunchen and other Shuangzhong elders, Qi Xin, the teachers and students of the whole school, worked together to carry forward the fine tradition of hard struggle in the old areas, started the first round of hard struggle of the school, and the scale of running the school expanded rapidly. 1952 There were only 178 freshmen and/or 0/5 faculty members in "Rudong Shuangdian Junior Middle School Class". When the school was renamed as "Double Branch of Matang Middle School in Rudong County" on 1953, it had four classes of Grade One and Grade Two, and the number of students and teachers doubled. 1954, with the approval of the people's government of Jiangsu province, "Rudong Shuangdian Junior High School" was formally established, becoming a regular double-track junior high school, and 1955 expanded to a three-track junior high school. 1959 The new high school enrolled two classes of freshmen and changed its name to "Rudong Shuangdian Middle School" to become Rudong No.4 Middle School. Since then, although the school has been disturbed by the Great Leap Forward and affected by the country's three-year economic difficulties, the loyalty of Shuangzhong people to the party's educational cause has not changed, and the spirit of hard struggle has not changed. The scale of running a school is constantly expanding, the number of students is increasing year by year, and the quality of running a school is steadily improving, which has not only delivered a batch of qualified freshmen to higher-level schools, but also delivered a large number of talents to all fronts in the county. From 1962 to 1965, with the national enrollment rate less than 20%, a quarter of China's high school graduates were admitted to institutions of higher learning, including key universities such as Tsinghua, Peking University, University of Science and Technology, Jiaotong University and Nantah.

Just as the cause of China-China cooperation is stepping into glory, an unprecedented disaster has befallen the campus. The school was once organized by the masses and renamed as "Rudong Hongwei Middle School", and the school was forced to "suspend classes and make revolution". 1966 junior high school graduates lost the opportunity to continue their studies, and non-fresh graduates could not continue their studies. Many teachers have been labeled as "ghosts", and school leaders have been slandered as "those in power who take the capitalist road", and they have been brutally criticized one after another, and their bodies and minds have been severely devastated. Most teachers who have not been criticized have also been "decentralized" to rural schools, and the teaching power of schools has been seriously weakened.

Winter goes and spring comes. The Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Party re-established the ideological line of "seeking truth from facts" and re-advocated the fine tradition of "respecting teachers and attaching importance to education". Shuangdian Middle School, like other schools, has embarked on the right development path. The leadership of the school has strengthened unity, and the mental outlook of the teaching staff has undergone profound changes. Students have improved their consciousness of learning and observing discipline, and established a new teacher-student relationship with teachers. The teaching style and study style have been continuously purified, and the quality of education and teaching has been steadily improved. In the first six years of the resumption of the college enrollment system, 282 freshmen were sent to colleges and universities. Throughout the 1980s, the school sent more than 400 freshmen to colleges and universities, becoming a shining educational pearl in the western region of Rudong.

In the 1990s, the atmosphere of respecting teachers and attaching importance to education in the whole society became stronger, education flourished, the idea of running a school was liberated, and the development of "Double China" was even more powerful.

First of all, the school has undergone earth-shaking changes. The original bungalow disappeared and was replaced by two magnificent teaching buildings. The low and humid student dormitory disappeared, and three apartment-style student dormitories stood up; The original humble student canteen was demolished and replaced by a tall and spacious canteen that can accommodate more than 1000 students. At the same time, a fully functional experimental building and office building were built. The original muddy playground was paved with a sunny and rainy runway and planted with turf; Most of the in-service teachers moved into the new fund-raising building and borrowing building.

In recent ten years, school moral education has reached a new level, and gradually explored a new idea of "overall linkage" of students' ideological and political work. Full participation and multi-party participation in students' ideological education pay attention to the hierarchy, practicality, series and effectiveness of ideological education. Parents' schools, young students' party schools and middle school students' league schools are getting better and better, and they are commended and rewarded by cities and counties. Successful moral education experiences have been exchanged in the special conferences of county, CPPCC and politics and law, which have been valued by leaders at all levels, and some of them have been promoted inside and outside the county. The school won the honors of "Nantong Advanced School of Moral Education", "Nantong Civilized Unit", "Rudong Conventional Management Demonstration School" and "Rudong Civilized Unit Model".

In the past ten years, the teaching achievements have been remarkable. The results of college entrance examination have been in the top 200 of key middle schools in provinces and cities in the province. From 199 1 to 2000, more than 2,000 senior three graduates were admitted to colleges and universities, and Li Xinming, a self-funded student in 1998, was admitted to Tsinghua University, which had a very positive impact both inside and outside the county, and also explained the truth that "students with learning difficulties can become top talents as long as they work hard". Stylistically, this is also good news. In the biennial cultural performance of middle school students in the county, our school has won prizes every year. In the annual county primary and secondary school track and field games, our school's sports level has been in the upper reaches, and won the "seven consecutive championships" from the late 1980s to the early 1990s. 1990, our school was rated as an advanced sports unit in Nantong. Cui Meigen, a junior high school student of 9 1, won three gold medals in the National Special Olympics. The number of teachers has been increasing in the past ten years. Dedication has become a common practice. By the end of 2002, there were 200 senior teachers and 200 middle school teachers in the school, and more than 95% of the on-the-job teachers had achieved undergraduate education. Many of them have become backbone teachers, academic leaders and outstanding educators at the city and county levels. Teachers' awareness of scientific research has been continuously enhanced. Throughout the 1990s, all the teachers in the school published more than 600 papers and won prizes, and the monograph "New Thinking of Class Teachers" written by our teachers also won the provincial social science achievement award.

No pains, no gains; If you give, you will be rewarded. The efforts of several generations in Shuangzhong have not been in vain. From 65438 to 0999, Shuangdian Middle School became a key middle school in Nantong after strict examination, and its development entered a higher and faster level. 1998, the county government and the Education Bureau confirmed the school-running idea of Shuangzhonghe Pure High School. From the summer vacation of 1999, high school and junior high school derailed, and Shuangdian Middle School was officially renamed as "Rudong Shuangdian High School", becoming the second complete high school in the county after Rudong Middle School.

In the new century, faced with the historical responsibility of "establishing a famous school in the middle of Jiangsu", all the staff of Shuangdian High School have doubled their confidence and enthusiasm. On the basis of running a large-scale school in the early 1990s, we paid close attention to the hardware construction and software optimization of the school. In just two years, the school has basically completed the expansion of boys' and girls' dormitories, the renovation of some shops along the street, the construction of roads in the school, greening and molding, the relocation of school gates, the renewal of computer rooms, the equipment of electric classrooms, the computer equipment of teachers' offices and other hardware projects. This semester, the school has added more than 20 newspaper reading columns, opened up a fixed educational garden for various disciplines, revised the subsidy assessment and reward methods, and the school staff are in high spirits, sweating profusely for the development of Shuangdian Senior High School. On 20 14, high school students were stopped, freshmen were junior high school students, and Shuangdian high school was changed to junior high school.
