Since then, although the school has been disturbed by the Great Leap Forward and affected by the country's three-year economic difficulties, the loyalty of Shuangzhong people to the party's educational cause has not changed, and the spirit of hard struggle has not changed. The scale of running a school is constantly expanding, the number of students is increasing year by year, and the quality of running a school is steadily improving, which has not only delivered a batch of qualified freshmen to higher-level schools, but also delivered a large number of talents to all fronts in the county. From 1962 to 1965, with the national enrollment rate less than 20%, a quarter of China's high school graduates were admitted to institutions of higher learning, including key universities such as Tsinghua, Peking University, University of Science and Technology, Jiaotong University and Nantah.
Just as the cause of China-China cooperation is stepping into glory, an unprecedented disaster has befallen the campus. The school was once organized by the masses and renamed as "Rudong Hongwei Middle School", and the school was forced to "suspend classes and make revolution". 1966 junior high school graduates lost the opportunity to continue their studies, and non-fresh graduates could not continue their studies. Many teachers have been labeled as "ghosts", and school leaders have been slandered as "those in power who take the capitalist road", and they have been brutally criticized one after another, and their bodies and minds have been severely devastated. The Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Party re-established the ideological line of "seeking truth from facts" and re-advocated the fine tradition of "respecting teachers and attaching importance to education". Shuangdian Middle School, like other schools, has embarked on the right development path. The leadership of the school has strengthened unity, and the mental outlook of the teaching staff has undergone profound changes. Students have improved their consciousness of learning and observing discipline, and established a new teacher-student relationship with teachers. The teaching style and study style have been continuously purified, and the quality of education and teaching has been steadily improved. In the first six years of the resumption of the college enrollment system, 282 freshmen were sent to colleges and universities. Throughout the 1980s, the school sent more than 400 freshmen to colleges and universities, becoming a shining educational pearl in the western region of Rudong.
In the 1990s, the atmosphere of respecting teachers and attaching importance to education in the whole society became stronger, education flourished, the idea of running a school was liberated, and the development of "Double China" was even more powerful.
First of all, the school has undergone earth-shaking changes. The original bungalow disappeared and was replaced by two magnificent teaching buildings. The low and humid student dormitory disappeared, and three apartment-style student dormitories stood up; The original humble student canteen was demolished and replaced by a tall and spacious canteen that can accommodate more than 1000 students. At the same time, a fully functional experimental building and office building were built. The original muddy playground was paved with a sunny and rainy runway and planted with turf; Most of the in-service teachers moved into the new fund-raising building and borrowing building.
In recent ten years, school moral education has reached a new level, and gradually explored a new idea of "overall linkage" of students' ideological and political work. The results of college entrance examination have been in the top 200 of key middle schools in provinces and cities in the province. In the new century, faced with the historical responsibility of "establishing a famous school in the middle of Jiangsu", all the staff of Shuangdian High School have doubled their confidence and enthusiasm. On the basis of running a large-scale school in the early 1990s, we paid close attention to the hardware construction and software optimization of the school. In just two years, the school has basically completed the expansion of boys' and girls' dormitories, the renovation of some shops along the street, the construction of roads in the school, greening and molding, the relocation of school gates, the renewal of computer rooms, the equipment of electric classrooms, the computer equipment of teachers' offices and other hardware projects. This semester, the school has added more than 20 newspaper reading columns, opened up a fixed educational garden for various disciplines, revised the subsidy assessment and reward methods, and the school staff are in high spirits, sweating profusely for the development of Shuangdian Senior High School.
