History of Hong Kong Lianye Garment Co., Ltd.

This company was established by accident. More than 60 years ago, Mr. Li Zhenzhi, the then founder, wanted to import a batch of American textile machines to Shanghai, but these machines failed to clear customs and were stranded in Hong Kong. In this case, Mr. Li Zhenzhi had to decide to set up the first spinning factory in Hong Kong, and led the company to gradually develop into an industry leader in Asia, which also made TAL the largest textile and garment manufacturer in Asia at that time. In the 1970s, the company was hit by the economic crisis. Dr. Li Yongxi and Dr. Li Naiyi managed the company in the 1980s, and then suffered some investment failures.
