Nanchang Metropolitan Area, commonly known as Greater Nanchang Area, is a town planning cluster or regional concept located on the Ganpo River Plain in the north-central part of Jiangxi Province, China. The scope is the area around Nanchang city 100 km.

Including downtown Nanchang (including Nanchang County), downtown Fuzhou, Anyi County, Fengxin County, Gao 'an City, fengcheng city, Zhangshu City, Jinxian County, dongxiang county, yugan county and Yongxiu County, with a total area of about 23,000 square kilometers.

The plan proposes to build an open and cooperative regional development pattern, fully connect with the "Belt and Road", fully integrate into the Yangtze River Economic Belt, promote the coordinated development of urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, and promote the integrated development of Changjiu and Changfu.

Comprehensively expand the level of cooperation with provinces and cities along the Belt and Road in the fields of industry, economy and trade, energy and humanities, and build Nanchang into an important node city of the Belt and Road and an inland open economic highland.

Through the construction of regional high-speed railway networks such as Shanghai-Kunming, Beijing-Kowloon and Changjing-Huanghua, the "two-hour traffic circle" between Nanchang and core cities in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, and the "one-day commuting circle" between Nanchang and major cities in the Yangtze River Delta such as Shanghai, Nanjing and Hangzhou, Nanchang's position in the regional urban network will be enhanced.
