Brief Introduction of Dalian Development Zone Library

Dalian Development Zone Library, located at No.235 Jinma Road, is one of the three landmark buildings of the Cultural Square, adjacent to the Development Zone Management Committee. It was completed in July 2006 and will be put into use soon. The main building of the library is divided into one basement and five floors above ground, with a stepped pyramid structure inside, which is divided into functional areas according to the floors and the direction of people flow. The layout of business functions adopts the internationally accepted open service mode of collecting, searching, borrowing and reading, forming an orderly flow of people, books, logistics and information. Services are divided into: newspaper reading area, children's service area, comprehensive book lending area, multimedia electronic reading area, characteristic literature reading area, academic exchange area, reader activity area, self-study area, business development area and administrative office area. In addition, in order to give full play to the functions of spreading knowledge and continuing education, the library has training classrooms, exhibition halls and lecture halls; In order to open children's intelligence, there are children's book lending rooms, multimedia reading rooms and toy libraries; In order to facilitate readers' leisure and entertainment, the library also has supporting service facilities such as best-selling bookstores, cafes and readers' restaurants. According to the reading statistics of the existing population and floating population in the development zone, there are 1300 reading seats, 190 computers and 1000 network nodes. The designed collection capacity of the new library is 6.5438+300,000 volumes; 654.38+10,000 new books are added every year; 20,000 electronic books; 2,000 newspapers and periodicals; It can receive 5000 readers every day. As the first large-scale public library in the development zone, our library will not only provide readers with general literature lending services, but also provide in-depth information retrieval, subject consultation and other special literature information services for six industrial groups, foreign-funded enterprises and high-tech parks in the development zone according to the special investment environment and economic development direction of the development zone.
