The school was formed by the merger of Zhoushan Vocational Education Center, Zhoushan Economic and Trade School, Zhoushan Automobile School and Dinghai Agricultural Technology School, and was formally established in April 1999.

In June 2000, it was rated as a provincial key vocational school, and in July 2002, it was rated as an advanced unit of national vocational education by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the State Economic and Trade Commission. In August 2003, Zhoushan Education Bureau, Zhoushan Vocational and Technical School, Zhejiang Golden Eagle Group Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Yang Fan Shipping Group Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Hongsheng Group * * * jointly established Zhoushan Vocational Education Group, which became one of the top 100 practical projects of Zhoushan Municipal Government in 2003. 2010 On June 5438+00, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security approved Zhoushan Technical School as a full-time provincial key technical school. This school belongs to Zhoushan Education Bureau and the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. On the basis of some majors in Zhou Zhou Vocational and Technical School, the school has integrated the Vocational and Technical School of China Zhoushan Marine Fishery Company (hereinafter referred to as "Zhou Yu Technical School") and the No.4806 Factory Vocational and Technical School of China People's Liberation Army (hereinafter referred to as "4806 Technical School"). At present, the school and the boat vocational and technical school are co-located.
