In the 52 years since its establishment, the school has built 37 school buildings and has 283 classes, including 52 junior high school classes, 34 vocational high school classes, and 197 general high school classes. To date, more than 16,000 students have graduated from here. Now they are spread all over the country, displaying their talents in their respective positions.

Since our school first sent talents to colleges and universities in 1978, it has sent a large number of talents to colleges and universities (including technical secondary schools before 1993). In 1982, the school admitted 52 students (10 students were admitted), and the number of students admitted exceeded the 50 mark for the first time. Among them, Li Zhongqiu from Class 56 scored 117 points in mathematics, ranking third in the province. From 2004 to 2007, it exceeded the 100-person mark for four consecutive years. In 2005, Zhang Zengzeng ranked first in the county in liberal arts scores.

So far, more than 800 graduates of the school have received senior technical titles, more than 700 have held leadership positions above the department level, and 17 have received national scientific research achievement awards.

Liu Mingxing, former deputy secretary-general of the provincial government, Luo Bisheng, mayor of Yueyang City, Xu Chenguang, principal of the Provincial Party School, Jiang Yimin, provincial environmental protection director, Xiong Jinxiang, director of provincial immigration, deputy secretary of the Municipal People's Congress Bao Zhongqing, the elder, and Yang Pengcheng, dean of humanities at Hunan University of Science and Technology, are all alumni of Huarong No. 3 Middle School.
