Advantages and disadvantages of wooden door paint:

The painting function of wooden doors in Europe is basically open and semi-open, which is different from the fully enclosed goods in China. This kind of goods pay great attention to the beauty of natural grain on the surface of wood (bark), expose the conduit of wood, pay great attention to the layering of color, study the change of color brightness and depth, and cater to the desire of human beings to return to nature.

At present, the coatings available on the market for painting wooden doors are: nitro (NC) paint, universal polyurethane (PU) paint, PU paint, and some necessary commodities such as glaze and colorant.

1, nitro (NC) paint: It has the characteristics of fast drying, simple operation, good rework, low requirements for construction site and good paint film openness, but its paint hardness is not high, and the paint film has poor wear resistance and water resistance. So now many wooden door factories choose PU (polyurethane) paint.

2. General PU paint: The solid content is relatively high, and it may fill the pores of wood after spraying for 2-3 times, which is not suitable for opening goods. However, there are still many wooden door production companies that use ordinary PU paint and a little more thinner to open the goods, which has many disadvantages:

(1) The oiler should be very careful in the spraying process. If the paint is not sprayed carefully, the pores will be filled. On the other hand, if the paint is sprayed thinly, the oil will not enter the wooden conduit, which will cause the accumulation of oil in the conduit and the paint on the edge of the conduit. After the paint is completely dried, the whole board looks very thick, and the effect of catheter opening is poor.

(2) Generally, PU paint will dry slower than the standard open paint, which will also extend the construction period;

(3) Due to the large amount of spraying thinner, the solvent evaporation on the paint surface is uneven, and the paint surface is poor in appearance, and it simply presents bad conditions such as front and back, sanding and so on.

3.PU open-ended special paint: This paint has the advantages of good hand feel, high hardness, good water resistance and wear resistance, good workability, normal spraying will not fill the pores of wood, good opening effect of wood conduit, no hypertrophy of conduit, high clarity and rework of unqualified products.
