Kaiyang is an area rich in tourism resources in Guizhou Province. The county has high-grade tourism resources such as Nanjiang Grand Canyon, Xianghuo Stone Scenic Area, Zijiang Ground Fissure and qinglong river Shili Gallery Rural Tourism Scenic Area. Since May 2006, the county party committee and government of Kaiyang have invested more than 20 million yuan to build the Nanjiang Grand Canyon scenic spot, and after welcoming Chinese and foreign tourists with a new look, they have invested nearly 3 million yuan to build Buyi and Miao villages along the coast of qinglong river.
