What kinds of firefighters are there?

Three types: professional firefighters, contract firefighters and full-time firefighters.

The first type: professional firefighters

A professional firefighter refers to a firefighter who works in the public security system. They enjoy police treatment, but not all provinces and cities have public security fire brigades. If you want to be a professional firefighter, you need to take the civil service exam and join the public security team. Only through selection can you enter the fire brigade.

The second type: contract firefighters

Contract firemen refer to the firemen who sign contracts and undertake the duty tasks such as fire fighting, emergency rescue and disaster relief. They are militarized, but they are not soldiers. Contract firefighters shall handle pension insurance, unemployment insurance, work injury insurance, medical insurance and maternity insurance in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Labor Law, and enjoy the same welfare benefits as ordinary employees.

The third type: full-time firefighters

Full-time firefighters are members of the fire fighting team invested, built, managed, used, maintained and guaranteed by the government or enterprises and institutions. They are usually employed by recruitment. Active duty troops are paid according to the national compulsory soldier allowance standard, and professional firefighters are paid according to police treatment. Standards may be different in different regions.

In a word, no matter what kind of firemen they are, they are an important force to ensure social order. They were fearless in the face of danger and saved their lives and property at a critical moment. We should respect and appreciate their work and provide them with better working conditions and treatment.
