What are the requirements for applying to be an economist?

1. Junior economist registration requirements:

Those who register for the junior economist must have a high school diploma (including high school, technical secondary school, vocational high school, technical school) or above recognized by the national education department .

2. Registration requirements for intermediate economist:

Those who meet one of the following conditions can register for the intermediate economic professional technical qualification examination:

(1) High school (Including high school, technical secondary school, vocational high school, and technical school) and have obtained primary economic professional and technical qualifications, and have been engaged in relevant professional work for more than 10 years;

(2) Have a college degree, and have been engaged in relevant professional work for more than 6 years ;

(3) Have a bachelor's degree or a bachelor's degree, and have been engaged in related majors for at least 4 years;

(4) Have a second bachelor's degree or graduate from a graduate program, and have been engaged in related majors Have worked for at least 2 years;

(5) Have a master's degree and have been engaged in relevant professional work for at least 1 year;

(6) Have a doctoral degree.

The academic qualifications or degree requirements in the above registration conditions refer to formal academic qualifications or degrees recognized by the national education administrative department. The calculation of the applicant’s years of working experience and years of holding professional and technical positions will end on December 31 of the year of application.

3. Application conditions for senior economist

Those who meet one of the following conditions can register for the senior economic professional and technical qualification examination:

(1) Have a university degree College degree, after obtaining intermediate economic professional and technical qualifications, engaged in work related to the responsibilities of an economist for more than 10 years;

(2) Possess a master's degree, or a second bachelor's degree or a graduate degree, or a bachelor's degree or a bachelor's degree, and after obtaining an intermediate economic professional and technical qualification, have been engaged in work related to the responsibilities of an economist for five years;

(3) Have a doctoral degree, and after obtaining an intermediate economic professional and technical qualification, have been engaged in the responsibilities of an economist At least 2 years of relevant work experience.

Those who have obtained any of the intermediate economist, intermediate accountant, intermediate statistician, and intermediate auditor qualifications and meet the above qualifications and years of experience can register for the Advanced Economic Professional and Technical Qualification Examination.

Note: Obtaining the intermediate professional qualifications of real estate appraiser, consulting engineer (investment), land registration agent, real estate agent, and banking professional can correspond to the intermediate economic professional and technical qualification. Those who have obtained tax accountants and asset appraisers and meet the academic qualifications and years of experience required for intermediate economists can also correspond to intermediate economic professional and technical qualifications.
