Is part-time chatting illegal?

Legal analysis: simply chatting with others, if there are no other illegal acts, it is not illegal. If the parties engage in part-time jobs through WeChat chat software, it is not illegal to engage in legal related behaviors. However, if there are illegal and criminal acts during the part-time job, the parties need to bear corresponding legal responsibilities according to their own actions.

Legal basis: Article 266 of the Criminal Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) defrauds public or private property, and if the amount is relatively large, he shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years, criminal detention or public surveillance, and shall also, or shall only, be fined or have other serious circumstances, be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than 10 years, and if the amount is especially huge or has other especially serious circumstances, he shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than 10 years or life imprisonment, and shall also be fined or have his property confiscated. Where there are other provisions in this Law, such provisions shall prevail.
