Is Arabic easy to learn?

Because I have friends who have studied Arabic, I also know something about Arabic. Here is my opinion on Arabic.

1. Is Arabic difficult to learn?

But if you want to learn Arabic, you must be prepared to endure hardships. Whether it is pronunciation, letters, words, grammar, or the culture contained in Arabic, it is more than one or two levels more difficult than other languages. Even if you study Arabic for four years in college, you may find that you don’t understand anything after graduation and that others speak differently to you. This is the difference between standard Arabic (written language) and spoken language (also called dialects, dialects). The dialects spoken in each Arabic are also different, and the differences are very big. But having said that, as long as you have laid a very solid foundation in the first year, the rest will not be difficult for you, but if you don’t put in N times the energy than the third year of high school, you will definitely not learn well.

2. Why is Arabic difficult to learn?

Many people think that learning Arabic means learning grammar and memorizing words. These are indeed very important and are a shortcut to learning the language. Many students can memorize a dictionary and analyze grammar clearly and logically. Most of these people have only been exposed to it. It is not easy to accumulate so much knowledge in Arabic in two or three years, and it once again proves that the Chinese system has made great achievements in the field of Arabic teaching. In the context of China's exam-oriented education, almost everyone comes into contact with this new language after entering college. Since this is the case, you can save what you can. Some schools do not pay attention to the accuracy of pronunciation in the early stage, nor do they pay attention to oral English in the middle and later stages. Expression and cultivation, they think these are all empty, or just a formality, what's more, there is not even a foreign teacher of Arabic. It is not advisable to give lectures in Chinese.

3. What is difficult about Arabic?

One of the main reasons why people think Arabic is difficult is that Arabic has complex morphological changes, and Chinese people who use Chinese without morphological changes are not used to it. For example, nouns in Arabic have changes in gender, number, case, and form. Nouns are not only divided into singular and plural, but also have even numbers that are not found in ordinary languages. Plural numbers are divided into masculine perfect plurals, feminine perfect plurals, and various forms of fragmented plurals. In addition to personal changes, verbs also have case changes. Coupled with the special changes brought about by several so-called "sick mothers", it makes learners feel that it is really difficult to master. There are also many formal requirements in the language for combining words and sentences in Arabic.
