Xiaogan Nursing School was established in April, 1965. With the development of the hospital, it has successively been: Nursing School Affiliated to Xiaogan People's Hospital in Hubei Province, Nursing School Affiliated to Xiaogan People's Hospital in Hubei Province, and Nursing School Affiliated to Xiaogan Central Hospital in Hubei Province. In May 2003, the school was officially renamed as Xiaogan Nursing School in Hubei Province.

After more than 40 years of ups and downs, the school has embarked on a difficult and tortuous road full of hope, and now peaches and plums are all over the world.
